How it works

Oz Lotto draws take place every Tuesday at 20:30 AEST/AEDT. Players choose seven numbers from a pool of 1 to 47. After the main seven numbers are drawn, three supplementary numbers are also selected from the same pool. Those supplementary numbers determine some of the lower prize divisions but are not needed for the top prize.

The game is operated by The Lott, which runs a range of national lottery products in Australia. Full draw details and entry options are published on the operator's Oz Lotto page. We don't sell tickets ourselves; we track results and publish editorial guides for players in Victoria and across the country.

Odds and divisions

The odds of matching all seven main numbers — and claiming the division-1 prize — are 1 in 62,891,499. To put that in perspective, it is roughly equivalent to flipping a coin and landing heads 26 times in a row. Long odds are typical of seven-ball lottery formats with large number pools. Lower divisions offer better odds because they require fewer matched numbers or rely on the supplementary balls, but the operator sets prize allocations and we cannot guarantee amounts for any tier below division one.

If you win

All prize claims are handled directly by the licensed operator, not by Drawswatch. If you hold a winning ticket, contact The Lott through the channels listed on their official site or visit a retail outlet if you purchased your entry in person. We publish results as a reference service only. Prizes above a certain threshold may require identity verification and can take several days to process. Check the operator's terms for claim deadlines; most Australian lottery wins must be claimed within six or twelve months of the draw date, depending on the state of purchase.

Where to play
